Our pricing is based on breed, size, type of service and length of service. We do our best to give an accurate quotes when asked. However pricing can vary depending on those factors. We work hard to provide fair and reasonable pricing.

We are located at 2985 Whitney Avenue in Hamden (right off of exit 10 on I91) We are on the rear side of the building facing Ives Street. Parking is located on the side of the building as well as directly across the street. If you ever have an issue parking, please call and we are happy to come out and assist you.

Our facility is handicapped accessible. We have a handicapped ramp leading down to our door as well.

This answer will be different for everyone depending on the size of the job. Average services usually run from 3-4 hours from time of drop off. Larger dogs or heavy coated dogs can take longer than this time frame. If we are having a busier than usual day or fall behind from that time frame we will call to let you know. If you have a required pickup time we ask to be presented that information at time of booking. We try our best to accommodate requested pickup times!

We are currently open Tuesday through Friday 9:30- close and Saturday 8am - close. Closing time is dependent on the work load of the day and is usually about 4/5pm.

We do not demat dogs. If a dog has a couple “easy” mats to remove we will do it. However, if your dog is matted we will likely suggest a short haircut. Dematting can be extremely uncomfortable and even painful for your dog which is why we choose to not offer this service. We will discuss your dogs coat condition with you prior to the haircut.

We use a high speed hand dryer right after your pet is washed. After most of the water is blown off your pet will be crated in a clean crate with a fresh towel and dried with non heated, air circulating fans. If your pet is afraid of the dryers we will discontinue the drying, but this may delay the grooming process. If you prefer your pet is not crated please call us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Absolutely! We welcome you to come in at any time during business hours and we will trim them as you wait.

By state law we require proof of rabies vaccine. You can bring a copy or email/text a picture. Being that we are a facility where several dogs come through each day we definitely advise you to stay up up to date on all other vaccines required by your vet.

We start grooming dogs at around 16 weeks as long as they are vaccinated and given the ok from your vet.

All dogs are crated unless they are being worked on. We do not allow dogs to interact with other dogs outside their family due to safety issues. If your dog cannot at all handle being around other dogs please call to discuss and we will do our best to accommodate your request.  

We use Natures Specialties products and Chris Christensen products Do you do anal glands?Yes we do simple external gland expression. However, if your dogs glands are impacted or seem irritated we do recommended seeing a vet for this service.
